The stories behind the bars

Textiles: half of everything exported

Knitwear, bed linen, towels, yarn and fabric make up roughly half of Pakistan's goods exports. Cotton remains the backbone — from field to finished apparel for brands in the US, UK, and EU.

Rice: the quiet champion

Basmati and IRRI varieties took rice exports past $4 billion in FY2024–25, making Pakistan one of the world's largest rice exporters — with Kenya, China, and the UAE among the biggest buyers.

IT services: the fastest riser

Software development, freelance tech work, and IT-enabled services hit a record $3.8 billion — now Pakistan's largest services export, and growing far faster than goods.
